The catamaran on the Andreafsky River. A short forced break, our impeller on the engine was faulty we had to change it. It was really fun in the deep mud...

After the repair we remained at the Andreafsky River for a few more days, because the ascent of the salmon just started, we didn't want to miss it!

Suicide Help Card in the Pilot Point wash house.
Suicide is unfortunately a very big problem

at the whole Yukon River, which affects especially the young people.....

After about 3260 km we arrived in Emmonak.  There we gave away our surplus food to some locals which was gratefully accepted.

Of course, we took the catamaran out to the Bering Sea. We were lucky the weather was great!

 Jake & Eunice Johnson

The Johnson family took us to the seal hunt!

        ( The seal could escape ! )

The trip over a branch of the Yukon to the Bering Sea was very cold due to the fast boat...

Arriving at the Johnson's hunting cabin, we had to wait for the tide to get out to the Bering Sea.

Eunice had taken precautions and enough tasty things with her, so we hadn't had to wait too long !

The tide was very late so we had to drive back to Emmonak in the dark along the coast of the Bering Sea, a really great experience!

Our plane back to Anchorage.

The catamaran was a blast!
I never enjoyed a Yukon trip as much as with this cat! The SPREU TUBES were the right choice, the Hypalon of outstanding quality. Not a single scratch was on the tubes despite some violent ground contact !
The 9,9 HP long shaft Yamaha engine was just right, although I would use a Honda 10-15 HP out boarder next time.
An engine is absolutely necessary with such a cat because otherwise one misses many things, without engine it makes no fun!
I would build the frame out of aluminum, because the wooden frame was extremely heavy! In short, it was a great ride during which I learned a lot about building a catamaran !

David was one of the best travel partners I've ever had, not a single bad word was said on the whole trip, on the contrary we had endless fun!
I was all the more disappointed that after the trip, he destroyed the whole Yukon River film project with his insane demands for money.
And all out of greed!
Even though he was on my catamaran and the trip hardly cost him anything!
