Fairbanks Alaska
Fairbanks is the second-largest city in Alaska with a population of around 82,000 and is located north of the Alaska Range on the Chena River.
The city is an important transportation hub, a supply point for Central Alaska, the Arctic and, of course, for the military bases.
The huge oil deposits in Prudhoe Bay were developed from here.
Fairbanks, which was named after former Vice President Charles W. Fairbanks and where temperatures can be below -50°C in winter and +30°C in summer, is also home to the well-known "University of Alaska".
I also met Ingo Tiegs again at Go North !
